Camille Clarin returns after ACL layoff as Gilas Women miss 3×3 WS-Chengdu main draw

However, Gilas Women failed to advance to the main draw as Brazil completed a sweep of the qualifying round with a 13–11 victory over New Zealand.

Clarin was joined by Mikka Cacho, Tantoy Ferrer, and Gabi Bade—the same trio that led the country to a silver finish in the 6th Asian Beach Games in Sanya last Friday.

Cacho and Bade powered the team against New Zealand with six points each, while Ferrer chipped in five.

Gilas Women will next compete in the first-ever Women’s Series leg to be held in Manila, scheduled from May 7 to 8 at the SM Mall of Asia.
